New Fenix RC15 and RC40 Rechargeable Flashlights

Flashlight manufacturer Fenix recently announced two upcoming additions to their RC line of dedicated rechargeable flashlights – the Fenix RC15 and Fenix RC40.  These two new models are larger and more powerful than the already popular Fenix RC10 rechargeable flashlight.  They are designed more for search and rescue and long distance applications where a super bright and long range beam is necessary.  Let’s take a closer look:

The Fenix RC40 is a super powerful, high lumen flashlight designed for search and rescue operations.  The beam offers a good balance of both bright spill light for up close applications as well as great beam throw for long distance applications.  Of course, you wouldn’t want to use any of the 3 brightest settings for up-close work, but the lower settings offer decent brightness and long run times.  And it’s still nice to have the 3500 lumen setting, just in case you need it.

Both the Fenix RC15 and the Fenix RC40 are expected to begin shipping in April 2013.  The Fenix RC15 rechargeable flashlight is currently available for purchase on BrightGuy.com.  BrightGuy stocks over 450 types of flashlights and is an authorized distributor for Streamlight, SureFire, Fenix, Underwater Kinetics, Princeton Tec, Petzl, LED Lenser, Pelican, and more.
