New Fenix HP25 Headlamp

High quality lighting manufacturer Fenix has just released a new high performance headlamp, the Fenix HP25 headlamp.  This head lamp is unique because it has two LEDs – one with a spot focus, and one with a flood focus.  Let’s take a closer look:

The Fenix HP25 headlamp is Fenix’s brightest headlamp to date.  It uses two state-of-the-art CREE XP-E LEDs to produce a maximum combined output of 360 lumens.  The HP25 runs on four AA batteries, so it’s not the most compact headlamp.  The batteries are housed in a separate battery pack that is positioned on the back of the strap.  But what you sacrifice in size is more than made up for in power and performance.  The Fenix HP25 has a 2 hour run time in the 360 lumen mode, and it will run for up to 220 hours in low flood mode.

Another nice feature of the Fenix HP25 is that it is IPX6 rated for water resistance, so you can feel comfortable using it in any type of weather.  The body is constructed of plastic, but the area surrounding the LEDs is made of an anodized aluminum.  This helps with heat dissipation, because the LEDs can get quite hot if they are left on continuously.

All in all, the Fenix HP25 seems like a well-made, top of the line headlamp.  Although it may be bulkier than some other options out there, it doesn’t skimp on brightness.  The Fenix HP25 headlamp is available for purchase on BrightGuy.com.  BrightGuy stocks over 500 different flashlight models and is an authorized distributor for ZebraLight, Streamlight, SureFire, Fenix, Underwater Kinetics, Princeton Tec, Petzl, LED Lenser, Pelican, and more.
