Streamlight Strion DS Dual Switch Flashlights

World renowned flashlight brand Streamlight has a popular compact rechargeable flashlight series called the Strion® flashlight series – the Strion DS Dual Switch HL flashlights.  The traditional Strion series lights have just a tail switch, making them easy to turn on and off with a tactical hand position.  The newer Strion DS lights add a mid-body switch in addition to the tail switch, so you can now use the tactical hand position or a more natural hand position for everyday use.  The switches work independently, so each switch has full functionality to turn the light on and off, cycle through the three brightness levels, and activate strobe mode.

There are three models available – the Strion DS, Strion DS HL, and Strion DS HPL.  The main differences between each model are beam pattern, size, and price.  Let’s take a look at each model individually.
