Easy UK 3AA and 4AA Flashlight Fix

One of the the most common problems we hear about with the UK 3AA and UK 4AA CPO flashlights from Underwater Kinetics is that the switch works inconsistently – sometimes it will turn on, sometimes it won’t.  The most likely reason for this problem is that the metal contact inside the flashlight that is connected to the batteries is not making good contact with the metal ring that connects to the LED module.  Fortunately, this problem is easy to fix.

Step 1: Remove the bezel of your flashlight.

Step 2: Remove the metal ring on the inside of the flashlight.

Step 3: Carefully with a pair of pliers, bend the metal contact towards the case of the flashlight.

Step 4: Put the metal ring back on the light and replace the bezel.

The only contact that needs to be adjusted is the one shown in the picture – the other contacts do not affect the switch functioning of the light.
