Flashlight and headlamp manufacturer LED Lenser just announced a new series of sport headlamps – the LED Lenser SEO series headlamps.  The LED Lenser SEO3, SEO5, and SEO7R are high-powered headlamps with both white and red LEDs.  Let’s take a closer look at each of them individually.

LED Lenser SEO3 Headlamp

Output: 90 lumens high

The LED Lenser SEO3 headlamp is the most economical of the new SEO series headlamps.  It has three high powered white LEDs and a single red LED, which is great for preserving night vision.  The SEO3 uses LED Lenser’s Smart Light Techonolgy (SLT) that gives you 100% power, 15% power, and flashing mode.  The head of the SEO3 tilts downward so you can easily direct the light wherever you need it.  The headbands on all of the SEO headlamps, including the SEO3, are washable and replaceable, which will help in getting even more use out of these already durable head lights.

The LED Lenser SEO5 headlamp is a very high-powered headlamp, giving you up to 180 lumens in the highest output mode.  The SEO5 has a single white LED and a single red LED.  In addition to Smart Light Technology, the SEO5 also features LED Lenser’s patented Advanced Focus System (AFS).  This allows you to fully adjust the beam from a tight spot focus to a wider flood lighting pattern, giving you great flexibility in using this headlamp.  The LED Lenser SEO5 headlamp will run for up to 7 hours on 3 AAA batteries, so it will easily outlast most hiking and biking day trips.  The SEO5 is available in 2 different body colors – gray and red.

The LED Lenser SEO7R headlamp is the brightest of the SEO series, and it’s also the only rechargeable headlamp.  The SEO7R produces 220 lumens in high and features both Smart Light Technology (100%, 15%, flashing) and Advanced Focus System (spot-to-flood focusing).  The LED Lenser SEO7R for up to 5 hours on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, making it more economical for frequent users without adding much weight to the headlamp.  All of the SEO series headlamps are water resistant to the IPX4 international standard, so they are safe to use in all weather conditions.
