New Intrinsically Safe Bright Star LED Flashlights
Flashlight manufacturer Bright Star Lighting (formerly known as Koehler) is debuting 4 new LED flashlights this month. One is an LED update to their right angle flashlight, the Responder, and the other three are LED versions of their popular WorkSAFE series of intrinsically safe flashlights. Let’s take a closer look:
Bright Star Responder RA LED Flashlight

One of the coolest things about the new Right Angle LED Responder is that it can run on either 6 AA alkaline batteries or a proprietary rechargeable lithium-ion battery. This gives you a lot of flexibility that you don’t get with the typical right angle flashlight. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is also much slimmer and lighter than older style Nickel-cadmium (NiCD) batteries.
The Bright Star Right Angle LED Responder has a super focused beam pattern that’s designed to cut through even the thickest smoke. It has an impressive beam distance rating of 1227 feet, so you don’t have to worry whether you are fighting a fire in a small home or a warehouse. The large pushbutton on/off switch is easy to press even with heavy gloves on.
WorkSAFE LED Intrinsic Series Flashlights
Bright Star Lighting is introducing three new WorkSAFE LED flashlights – the 2217 2 D-cell flashlight, the 2224 3 D-cell flashlight, and the 2206 4 D-cell lantern.
